Member rights are governed by established by-laws and constitute the total agreement between the club and member. Active membership shall be limited to a maximum of 150 members. The minimum age for membership applicants shall be 18 years of age.
Annual dues are $80 per year. There is a one-time $100 initiation fee for new applicants. Applications for Membership will be accepted and reviewed by the Membership Committee at any time.
New applicants accepted into the club are granted Provisional Membership status.
During the Provisional Membership period, Provisional Members are required to provide at least the minimum number of hours of approved service to the Club, and attend a minimum of 4 General Membership Meetings. The minimum number of service hours is set at 24 per year; any change in this requirement will be posted in the Club house. A Provisional member must complete the required number of service hours in not more than 12 months from the date of being granted Provisional Member status. The help achieve this requirement while learning about the Club and its activities, the Provisional Member must perform a minimum of 4 hours assisting with Trap on a day or evening when the club is open to the public for Trap Shooting, a minimum of 4 hours assisting with Skeet on a day or evening when the Club is open to the public for Skeet Shooting, and a minimum of 12 hours at any combination of three Amateur Trapshooting Association events and two Tristate Winter League events that the Club holds annually.
Permanent Member status is attained upon (1) completion of six months as a Provisional Member, (2) payment of all dues, (3) completion of the 24-hour Approved Service, (4) attendance at two or more General Membership Meetings, and (5) an affirmative vote by a majority of members present at a regularly scheduled General Membership Meeting.
Failure to provide 24 hours of an approved Service results in a payment to the Club of $250 in each year that the Approved Service obligation is not met. Failure to make this payment will be considered a failure to pay dues and membership may be terminated. Membership may be terminated for reasons of (1) willful violation of the club by-laws, (2) willful violation of safety rules, (3) theft of Club property, (4) disrespectful behavior towards Officers, members or guests or (5) behavior that damages the Club’s reputation in the public domain.
